Modern Street Soccer

In the early 90’s Street Soccer players from Rotterdam in Holland began to create their own style, they began to push the boundaries of the technical skills that can be achieved with a ball. With the boom of the internet they were able to influence players all over the world. Freestyle Football and Street Soccer are of the same family and to the wider public perception they can both be referred to as the same thing.

A new wave and meaning to Street Soccer was created with an artistic approach, whilst expressing Street culture. Now there are world championship competitions for modern Street Soccer and Freestyle players to compete against one another.
